Description: Wild Nest - Watercolor Workshop (3 hour class) Discover the art of painting a stunning spring nest with a touch of wildness. This watercolor class offers a good overview of watercolors. Our creative process begins with a sketch, India Ink, and a spray bottle, followed by the application of beautiful watercolors. We will use a mesmerizing wet-on-wet technique. Finally, we add intricate details, and some negative painting to complete the masterpiece. With a combination of demonstrations, classroom time, and personalized coaching, you will surely achieve your desired results.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Julie Tibus, a graduate of The College for Creative Studies with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, has over 15 years of professional experience in selling and exhibiting her artwork. She even taught at her studios in Ann Arbor and Brighton, Michigan for several years. Recently, she has opted for a nomadic lifestyle, selling everything and traveling across the United States to teach and showcase her art. Julie's boundless curiosity drives her to experiment with emerging mediums and discover innovative techniques. Her unique creations are inspired by nature and her vivid use of color. Teaching is her way of sharing her passion for art with others.

ARTIST STATEMENT

My artistic focus revolves around exploring the beauty of natural form and embracing unrestricted creativity. I often start with a vague idea, such as floral patterns, landscapes, colors, or shapes, and allow myself to become immersed in the creative process without constraints or limitations.

I am a firm believer that everyone possesses an innate creativity, and art serves as a tool for overcoming self-imposed fears, such as fear of comparison or the unknown.

Ultimately, my art is meant to be experienced, reflected upon, and appreciated by the viewer.
